Club – A group of swimmers organized to participate in national and international meets. In Colorado, Loveland Masters is a workout group for the Colorado Masters Swim Club. Clubs can consist of a number of workout groups.

COMSA – Colorado Masters Swimming Association. The local masters swimming committee for Colorado and Wyoming. This organization represents member swimmers to the national organization, sanctions swim meets and clinics.

ePostal Event – A swimming competition in which you swim the event in your home pool following a prescribed set of parameters (such as no circle swimming).

Local Masters Swimming Committee (LMSC) – A governing body within United States Masters Swimming that runs championship meets, and maintains swimming standards within the area. COMSA is the local masters swimming committee for Colorado and Wyoming.

United States Masters Swimming (USMS) – The national governing body for masters swimming in the United States. Includes approximately 45,000 members with groups all over the country.

Workout Group – A group of swimmers that meet on a regular basis to swim together. Loveland Masters is a workout group within the Colorado Masters Swim Club.
